Chocolate 101: A Two-Day Hands-On Experience

Our Chocolate 101 course is the perfect introduction to the world of chocolate making. This two-day immersive workshop is designed for students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced home bakers. With a focus on professional techniques, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to create gourmet-quality chocolates.

What You’ll Learn

Day 1:

  • Master essential decoration techniques using acetate/transfer sheets.
  • Learn the process of making ganache for truffles and other chocolate treats.
  • Create handcrafted chocolate tablets with nuts or plain chocolate.
  • Make a 6” chocolate mousse Entremet.*** As a team

Day 2:

  • Master the seeding method of tempering and explore other tempering techniques.
  • Temper couverture chocolate and practice creating smooth, glossy finishes.
  • Decorate two individual desserts using the decorations from Day 1.
  • Decorate a 6” chocolate entermet, using decorations from day 1
  • Practice decorations of your choice! 
  • Bake decadent lava cakes from scratch*** As a team

A Professional Learning Environment

This is a 100% hands-on class, ensuring you gain real-world experience working with chocolate. Our intimate class size (maximum of four students) allows for individualized attention, making it an ideal setting to develop and refine your skills.
